Simple Company Registration

One of the biggest misunderstandings people have when starting a business is that they’ll be better off as a sole trader than running a company. Creating an organisation can seem like too much work, with documents to complete, and so forth, with no clear benefit.

In reality, enlisting an organisation for your business is quite straightforward

You have to conform to New Zealand laws when you enlist your organisation with the Companies Office, but this process can be as simple as:

  • Making a record on Companies Office or RealMe in advance
  • Checking the organisation name, you’d like is available
  • Reserving your preferred name
  • Company Address
  • Registering the appointment of director
  • Registering the shareholders
  • Filing Director and shareholder consent forms

Once your organisation is enlisted, you’ll automatically receive a NZBN (New Zealand Business Number). The NZBN is a special personality given to each organisation in New Zealand which helps communication with government, providers, clients and other organisations.

Get in touch to find out how company registration can benefit you. Our team can provide advice and walk you through this process or take care of the details for you. We have over ten years’ accounting and tax experience dealing with a range of different clients.
